In 2023, team East OF 1 walked away Victors, over THE A-TEAM aka THE REDEEM team. Carl Burger, taking to the sky along with teammates, Benji Lange, Logan Radd and Gabe Griffin, walking away this year’s winner of the second annual BOARDRIDERS BONANZA & A 2 NIGHT STAY AT CASA VERDE HOTEL IN RINCON PUERTO RICO. “We are coming back!!” Words from all 4 young men all year long. A close favorite was Fort Pierce Surfing & Skate SHOP including USA surfer, Kole Mazzarella, pro surfer Logan Hayes and 2 local legends Jason Green and Justin Rogge. They man handled their way to the finals. WSL qualifying series number five Kylie Pulcini teamed up with newly crowned Esa women’s champion Marllyn Glaub, also USA TEAM RIDER. THEIR teammates were Prime East Season Champ & RipGirl Grom champ, Auburn Hilley along with the one and only CHALRIE MOREN…CHARLIE’S ANGELS!! Last, but not least, was TEAM Pure Aloha Surf School from Cocoa Beach. USA PRIME surfers, DC Lewis and Kendall Dimmick teamed up with Owner Chacy Eveland and Tylah Maresh to take 4th at this year’s annual team completion.
16 teams – 35 minute heats – no tags and WHAT A BLAST!! The WORLD BOARDRIDERS championship format was very exciting to watch!!
Team Rox Development had 2 surfers from the winning team last year EAST of 1. They were putting on a performance in the first round clenching their way to the semifinal heat. It looked like it was gonna be another final for Wes Morgan & Kai Haire, but couldn’t quite pull it off, missing out by less than one point.
At the end of the day The Redeem Team walked away with the trophy, but the community was the real winner that day!
